2018 Wedding Season

Wow…2018 wedding season was a very busy one and the year that I started to need the support of two additional Wedding Planners, Lyndsay and Kelly and Wedding Planner support from Gary and Carrie.

The year kicked off with the wedding of Nicki and Mark that started on 31st December 2017 and finished on 1st January 2018 at Ealand Gate. It was beautiful to enjoy a New Year’s Eve wedding celebration.

Wedding season continued into February with the intimate wedding of Tracey and Dale at Walcot Hall, then more weddings at Ealand Gate…and on 13th March I received a beautiful testimonial from my 9th March bride: ‘I had my wedding there (Ealand Gate) on 09.03.18 and couldn’t have asked for a better venue and planner! Julie and her team are fantastic and couldn’t be more helpful! The venue is perfect!! I would 100% recommend anyone to get married there! Julie helps you with anything you need! The outside is perfect for photos! I had a fantastic day there!’ How lovely!

Wedding season continued through until end October. On one weekend I had three weddings – one at Walcot Hall, one at Saxby Hall and one at Ealand Gate…and all were equally stunning and well planned.

In 2018, we organised other events including birthdays, a celebration of life (with guests from all over the world), a funeral, a Ski Show at Snozone Castleford, carols around the Christmas Tree (organised with three lovely ladies from Crowle, North Lincolnshire), a huge university student ski race and freestyle event with DJ on the slope; and after months of consultation with a new venue, I was proud to support the opening day for Elsham Golf Club as a wedding and event venue and then in October manage my first wedding there for the lovely Jamie and Becky.

Elsham Golf Club

My venue, Ealand Gate, achieved another 5 star rating from Environmental Health for food hygiene which I am incredibly proud of; Walcot Hall (where we are the exclusive Wedding Planners) was rated as one of the top three wedding venues in North Lincolnshire and achieved Certificate of Excellence Gold Award from Bridebook.co.uk; I had the pleasure in meeting (and listening to) the Queen’s Piper – Pipe Major Scott Methven at a Walcot wedding; I received a ‘Hall of Fame’ award from Snozone for exceptionally high standards, valuing and supporting people and providing outstanding customer experience; and Weddings By Julie was rated in the top 3 Wedding Planners for North Lincolnshire.

Our events saw all sorts of themes including stilt walkers and Alice in Wonderland theming. We even managed a huge Kerala wedding for approximately 350 people which was fabulous.

I was fortunate to work with some amazingly talented suppliers in 2018, to name just a few of them: Lion Outside Bars, Next Generation, Calvin from One Click, Victoria Gray Photography, Mash & Rachel Day, Sophie Jane, Richard and Christine from Kazooieloki, Flawless Photography, Aden Priest: Photographer, The Cine Collective Wedding Films, One Stop Cake Shop, Andrew Fletcher, Make It Perfect Weddings & Events, Emma Lane Designs, Pears Photography, Village Farm Marquees, Woods Marquees, Hare-Larious Images, Anna’s Attic, Scarlett Black Photography, The Picture House Company….and so the list goes on.

Phew what a year!!!!
